Could be an EGR valve opening at low RPM/idle when it should be closed.

4.7l doesn't have an EGR. check your throttle body for build up if none or if it continues to do it after cleaning then idle air control valve i doubt its a vacuum leak if there is no check engine light as these emissions systems are very sensitive they will throw a light for a loose gas cap.
Actually most 4.7's do have an EGR valve, and his/hers should. You can check, the EGR would be in the rear of the left cylinder head. From the manual: "4.7L Engine; The electronic EGR valve and solenoid assembly (3) is attached to the rear of the left cylinder head. An exhaust gas routing tube (1) connects the EGR valve to the intake manifold."

Kenf this is an 03 not an 05 they didnt put egr on the 03 4.7 i own 5 of them myself and not one has an egr valve on it pre 05.
I own a 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT with the 4.7 V8. Mine has a EGR valve on it and my buddies truck is the same and it has a block off plate. When they were built some had ERG Valves and some did not. My truck is haveing the same problem. Missing at idle and not missing over idle. I have replaced damn near everything on this engine and it still does it.
