Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A lady wants to sell me her 2000 Dodge Durango for
$800. She said the 4x4 doesn’t work, needs a battery,
driver window needs a new motor and it needs new lower
ball joints.

Is this a good buy? I hear you can go without fixing the
4x4 but will that affect the car or transmission in a big way
later on? I’m willing to fix the joints, motor and battery.

The 4x4 isnt an issue unless you plan on using it. Me personally, I would have someone remove the front driveshaft if the 4x4 isnt working. All in all.. 800 bucks doesnt sound too bad depending on the condition
