2002 Tahoe door switch to turn on dome light won't work in the driver's side only

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2002 Chevy Tahoe dome light will not turn on when I open my door.
There is no switch you can see like most cars.  Chevy figured out a way to
put a switch in the wire bundle between the door and the frame. If I push on
that wire bundle (which is enclosed in rubber) the light will go on and off too.
But where is the dang switch? I cannot find it. If I can find it I can fix it. But no
one seems to know where the switch is.

Hi there. Thank you for answering my question. I was wondering if you could help a little more. Have you ever fixed one of these before? It seems very difficult to get at all the wires. Do you have to open up the panel or something?
