For added safety, pop-up rollover protection bars are integrated into the New Beetle Convertible's rear headrests, the same as those found in Audi's A4 Cabriolet. If onboard sensors determine a rollover is imminent, these "Automatic Rollover Supports" automatically rise 10.4 in. and join the reinforced windshield header to function as a rollcage.
