2004 Bettle Cabriolet - Passenger Door will not lock.

Hi. The passenger door will not lock. I already changed the door lock actuator
and apparently that is not the issue due that is behaving the same way as
before.
Has anyone any idea on what could be the root cause? Any way I can test it or
any tool or software that I can use to find the root cause?

After I replaced the actuator, the door was locked and I was not able to unlock it with the remote key or from inside the car. I then was able to unlock the passenger door with the inside switch from the driver's door. Now the door will not lock again. I don't hear any noise on the passenger door as well. So now it is behaving the same way it was with the old door actuator. Sorry for my lack of knowledge but what do you mean with "f the linkage is binding"?
