I have a 2003 trailblazer and the fan is loose
making a knocking noise how do I repair it

If your fan is loose, your waterpump is toast, and ready to go! Best get that replaced asap, when it finally seizes or blows apart, will leave you stranded with an expensive repair bill. Engine off, try moving the fan back and forth, side to side. Any play there, is your waterpump.
