Just replaced rear brake pads on 2003 Grand Marquis. Drove home then brake light comes on, stays on, and brakes are almost to floor. Not good. What is happening?

;Check the brake fluid level. If too low, brakes may need bleeding, after refilling. Who did this? I'd take apart the rear brakes again to see what's going on. Could be lots of things, but car shouldn't have been given back to you like that.
