Question type: Maintenance & Repair

6 yr old allowed in car and tried to turn ignition without the key in it. Few minutes later adult tried to start the car with the key and tried many times. Thought it may be battery but no. Dealership charging 850.00 to fix. Why so much? Is this a safety feature gone wrong?

Good question kbro, and the Dealer is always going to be the most expensive place, Try a locksmith, many do car work. Or he messed up the anti theft system by trying to turn it..with whatever he/she found. May need to be re programmed is why the dealer wants so much.
