I have 02 Lincoln LS. Horn works sometime..sometimes not..ELECTRICAL??

Yes it is electrical. There are three major parts to a car horn. One is the contacts in the steering wheel. They close and the horn sounds. Close to them is the clock spring that keeps electrical contact as the wheel is turned. Two is the relay that takes battery power and sends it to the horn. A relay is used to reduce the amount of power going up and back to the steering wheel. Think of it as a electrically controlled remote switch. The third part is the horn itself. Power goes in and if the horn works and the ground connection is good - sound comes out. ----- Intermittent sounding of the horn means that the fuse is good. It means that the ground is good. It could be the horn is going bad. Most likely is that the contacts in the steering wheel or the clock spring are dirty and not completing the circuit.

My bet it will be the clock spring. My horn stopped working along with automatic light shutoff and cruise control stopped working also. New clock spring fixed them all
