Central locking

Ive just replaced key and battery for my diamond
shape 52 plate x5 . But the central locking not
working !!! I bought the car like this key housing
was all taped up with no battery.. is there any
sequence i need to follow to make it work help plz
??

Take a look at this video. It sounds like the remote just needs to be programmed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVWjQMKvPyQ
