Mass air flow sensor

Asked by GuruGRXQ3 Aug 28, 2020 at 07:25 PM about the 2003 INFINITI G35 Sedan RWD with Leather

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought new mass sensor for my 2003 Infiniti g35,
when I got it came with the tube and sensor, but the
sensor was to big for my connector. Got another
connector got it started but it runs rough then dies
out. When it shuts off it takes a few before it does.

Could be a faulty new part. I'd exchange it and make sure nothing touches the sensor part of the part.

Buying one from the dealership would be a good idea. Aftermarket mass airflow sensors are hit and miss.

I disagree with Bob. It's not about where you buy the part. You can buy the same OEM parts from a parts store that the dealership has. The difference really is the stupidly high mark up price from the dealership.
