2003 acura TLS s type knocking noise

Ok. I have noticed that when my car
is idle under 1 rpm whether in park
or in drive there is a knocking noise.
Now when driving or just revving the
engine it stops at right before 2 rpm.
But it knocks again when goes back
to under 1 rpm. Is this something I
should have checked or is this
normal. Mind u I'm a female so dont
know if this explanation is good
enough. But I do consider myself very
knowing about cars.

It should be checked out. If it sounds low in the motor could be a rod bearing or something similar. If it high in the engine could be a lifter tapping. With it stopping when revved I would suspect a lifter tapping.
Yes. I change my oil every 3000 miles even tho I'm not due til 5000 miles... I have been told I have a few leaks which is why I change at 3000.... I have about another 1000 til the 3000 mark.
Oh that's good. Low oil level can at times cause a lifter tapping issue at low rpms.
Can multiple leaks also cause that?... I'm actually getting my oil changed this weekend anyways cuz going to be driving 2 hours away Monday and back home. So I will listen and see if the oil change makes a difference. Oh I didn't mention I have 216000 miles on my car. Does that change anything?
You may have a belt tensioner or idler pulley bad on the front of the engine. Definitely have it checked and let us know.
