Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a Chev Silverado 2007 4,8 L with 192,000.
The change engine oil is on after 2500 miles, level
is good. Summertime (hot with heavy AC USE),
MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN....Should I be
concerned? Change oil early, and monitor/ slow
down baby this truck, or use a different oil, clean
different components...?

192k on a small block you done good. idk why sensor reacting, could just be bad. with this old gal I think id install oil gauge make sure its pumpin. then your ok. Not getting hot, not making noise etc. these damn sensors on these new cars are gonna make the new ones old quick. just wait and see. and hold on to the old gal!
The reason ur getting a premature warning, might be because ur settings are set for it to remind u at 2500. Change ur settings on ur operator pannel
I would use good quality name brand oil, change it every 5,000 miles or 1 year and not worry about it.
