My '93 Mustang LX 5.0, does not power up when press down on the gas. The RPM's go up, but the motor just reves up.

Almost seems not to shift gear when press on gas when driving. When parked
can reve engine and seems to have power.

yes, automatic. Well taken care of. 80,000mi. Last time I was in I think they did recommend new motor mounts. Thank you for answering. Tony C.

I will take it in to the shop tomorrow. I think it would be more likely to be the cable. Is it safe to drive it to the shop(approx 5 mi.)? Thank you very much for your excellent help!
