I've had to majorly modify my 1500 just to pull a 21 foot Gear Box that's supposed to be 4800 lbs, to do any real pulling. A 3/4 ton is a required vehicle, 1500 pickups have a 9000 lb pulling limit if you don't mind doing 30 mph with your pedal to the floor and the engine screaming at 4000 rpm the whole time. 1500s are pretty much toy trucks....
