I own a 07 2500hd 6L. I have a leak in the engine oil cooling line.

When I removed the upper fitting on the radiator, antifreeze came out instead of oil. Is
this normal? Also, what is the best way to rerout the lines. I've seen in other forums to
remove the front drive shaft and lower some kind of shroud halfway down the engine.
Please help.

You removed the big rubber hose with the clamp on it? Or the metal line that snaps into the radiator?
On the driver side there are engine oil cooling lines. They are purchased as a pair, for $144. I removed the metal lines that run from the radiator to a block that is mounted near the oil filter. The lower one had oil, the upper had antifreeze.
There is engine oil cooler lines to the radiator mr roy ive ha them off before. Once again false info.
It should not have antifreeze in it at all
The deal is he said there is a line leaking you didnt catch that?
I wasn't talking about routing them different, just getting the new ones in place.
You need to address why there is antifreeze in there first like a problem inside the radiator. As for replacing the lines i have not replaced the oil cooler lines i have replaced trans cooler lines on a 5.3 not a 6.0 an it sucked. So cant say what the best way is
Have you checked the oil level to see if its too high or coolant low?

I'm loosing oil outside onto the exhaust. Lower oil level, haven't noticed if the coolant level is high.
Ah i was just thinking if antifreeze was getting into the oil it would be high and coolant would be low. But it may not be leaking that bad but yes it sounds to me like the radiator cant be for sure of course. Would need to lay hands on the vehicle to be sure. But if antifreeze is coming out of the oil line there is a problem somewhere. If you could get ahold of a cooling system pressure tester it may help you pinpoint your problem.

Just for information, I talked with a mechanic buddy of mine this morning. He told me that the nuts I removed are screwed into the cooler inside the radiator. So, having antifreeze come out with the nut removed is not a problem. That is of course as long as I can get the new nut screwed into the cooler. Thanks for the help.
