Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Go to start and no noise from starter or from solenoid. Dash lights and
accessories appear to work. Cycle power door lock switch and engine then
cranks/starts as normal.
New battery and cables replaced.

Reset your security system by disconnecting battery for a few seconds but before you connect battery back, turn ignition switch to on position, Security system might be acting up
I will try this before taking to dealer, who has never heard of this problem before. Thanks and will give results.
Black wire feeding NSS on transmission was eaten by mouse; GM like Toyota uses vegable-based insulation on wiring which rodents chew on....repaired black wiring.
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM IN MY ESPRESSO VAN 2017 DON'T HEAR NO NOISE COMING FROM THE START JUST DO THE NOISE LIKE THE BATTERY IS DEAD BUT IS NOT
Waited a few minutes, then tried again. It started. How do I troubleshoot this?

My 2014 chevy express 4500 van cranks when I turn the key off. Replace new lock and tumbler with the old key. If I start the truck and turn it off it's fine, but if I turn on the accessories without starting, it will crank for a second when I turn the key off.
