Howling sound accelerating from a stop.

I have noticed a periodic howling (whirring) sound, maybe from the rear, when accelerating from a stopped position.  No
jack rabbit start, just a casual start.  Thought perhaps brakes were causing it...local Einsteins at the dealer could not
duplicate.  Repeated itself 1 mile after leaving dealer.  Also hear it less frequently when applying the brakes before a
stop.  Brakes are disc's...look pretty clean.  Have not examined pads.  Any history with gear whirring?  Differential issues?  
Sound may also oscillate slightly, as if the wheels turning is causing it.  Original owner, less than 10k miles.  Thoughts?

That's really weird... If its an F-350 I want to say its the turbo whining. Turbos resonate the whistle through the exhaust as well. Has it always done this? or did it just start?

ya i'd say it's the turbo too. we took off the exhaust on an older 7.3 turbo powerstroke and heard alot of whrring along with the diesel gurgle sound.
