1993 fox body mustang

When i turn the key on to start it
would make a humming for about
3 seconds and would start right
up but now when turn the key on
it doesn't make that sound. I
replaced the fuel pump but still
don't make the sound and won't
start. Any ideas

check your Fuel pump relay. 93 models have the FP relay in front of the passenger side strut tower in the engine bay, near the MAF sencor....you'll see 2 relays, the other one is the A/C compressor control relay. fuel pump Part number is LRS-14089A. hope this helps.

Might be the inertia switch. Open the hatch, and on the left side along the back panel is a black rubber grommet. Remove that, and peer inside to push the red button on top of the inertia switch. Sometimes they get tripped or the wiring is compromised.
