Sebring Problems

Asked by Brett Nov 02, 2018 at 11:27 PM about the 2008 Chrysler Sebring Touring Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Check engine light came on with P0340 code
coming up. The car has trouble starting. The
car will accelerate slower than normal to 20-
25 then it shakes some. Then with the pedal
to the floor it goes up to 60-65 then it will
shake violently. If you let off the gas it will
drop 5-10 MPH and while it’s dropping in
speed the gas pedal is unresponsive for
about 5 seconds and then kicks back in.
Once the car hits 75 it will not go any faster
even with the pedal to the floor. When it’s at
75 and the pedal is pushed all the way down
the vehicle isn’t revving at higher rpms it
stays steady. What’s my issue here hanks in
advance.

Crankshaft sensor, I have a 2010 and the same thing happened to me, it's cheap like $12 and very easy fix, it's under your transmission behind a heat shield, all you need is a 10mm ratchet and you good
