Rear door locks do not operate from the key remote

Wow! Do the door locks work when you electrically lock/unlock them from inside the car?
have to replace both rear latch assemblies around 2 hundred a side common problem on these
Joel: No, they do not operate from either the remote or from inside the car on the driver's control panel on the door arm rest. Tom: good to know. Two hundred per side, wow. I guess I'll just continue to deal with it.
One common cause for electrical problems with older car doors is broken wires in that rubber conduit by the hinges. The strands break inside of the insulation. Sometimes you can see a arc or if you pull gently, it will stretch. If you find one, install a multi- stranded wire and make joints at both ends of the conduit. It would be smart to add a few extra spare wires or a string to pull in new wires if needed in the future.
You can buy aftermarket door lock actuators for under $10 a piece. Here's a video showing how to install them on a 2008 Impala: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_8kDjBFidc
have cut the wires and there is no power in the wires on the rear doors. Front works fine
My Locks lock in Drive and unlock when in Park but only the passenger side lock and un lock with the remote
