The door locks on my 2009 Chevy Impala are no longer locking, what could be my issue?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The vehicle's doors will not lock, by using either the key phobe or the lock buttons on
both driver and passenger door. However if I lock all the door manually both the key
phobe and the door lock buttons will open them. Also when I put the vehicle in reverse it
will no longer lock the doors either. I checked my fuse and it appears to be fine and think
if it was bad locks would not unlock.

Check your fuses and relay. If all looks good, it could be a faulty BCM. Try Ebay for a new BCM (Body Control Module) you can get one for around $70.
Thanks, I will check those out. At least it will give me a start.
It turned out to be a relay, changed it out and it is working just fine now, thanks
Aron: where was the relay for the power door lock located? Which one did you replace? This is exactly what one of our cars is doing.

The relay should be in the fuse box under the dash, passenger side kick pannel, you can't miss it
there are 3 relays,. one plugs into the box and 2 are soldered to the pcb. in the back of the box. I had a bad pcb relay. bitch to get off the board but $1.78 and a couple hours later vehicle fixed.

Aron where did u get the relay from
My 2009 impala locks unlock when I put it in park and lock when I put it in Drive and only half work at random with the Key fob or door switch
My 08 impala some times won't unlock with the remote or the power door bottom...
easy fix for us! Bought a FORD!

I have the same or similar problem. Thought it was the acutators, but I replaced the drivers door and still nothing. I hear a clicking coming from the fuse panel indicting the relay is working, I am wondering if it is that PPCB, but the comments above wont say where it is. Does anyone know? or perhaps a part number to order???
