Engine cranks but won't start

Asked by GuruW3BSY Jun 01, 2018 at 10:02 AM about the 2008 Chevrolet Impala 1LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Chevrolet Impala LT, it just started
making a weird knocking noise under the hood but
goes away after driving. Lately after I drive it and
then go to start it a little bit later it won't start. After
letting the car sit for a while it will start back up.
What could the problem be?

I think you may have spun a baring in your bottom end, this happened to me on my old Silverado, it's a Chevy thing sadly.
