I have a nissan altima and i need
to replace the cat but they are
expensive well i have a friend who
has a car juat like mine but not
sure what year he has if the efn is
the same will it work to replace
with his

It depends on what make and model his car is and if he wants to give it to you. If he scrapping his? Remember that depending on where you live, exhaust systems get rusty, so removing one might be a bear. You might need lots of penetrating fluid and a torch. Are you sure your car needs a new one?
