2005 Nissan Altima 2.5 sl

Asked by Guru1Q2G Apr 23, 2017 at 09:45 AM about the 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We were headed to a friends house and
when we go to get off the interstate the car
sputtered a little and the check engine light
that has been on forever blinked. Then
when we got about 2 miles down the road
to turn right the cars steering wheel got
tight the brake light came on (the parking
brake was not engaged) and everything
just shut off. When we tried to crank the
car it would act like it was going to turn
over but would never catch.

Should have had that check engine light checked, the vehicle scanned for trouble codes, it would have told you what was going on. You either have a no spark condition or a fuel pressure issue. Need to determine which to move forward. Scanning the vehicle for the trouble codes would point you in the right direction.
