where is the temp gauge for a 2008 saturn vue xr?

Question type: General

there's no temp gauge on the dashboard for a saturn vue xr, how does one monitor the
temperature?

Without a gauge you can't tell the exact temperature of engine coolant. Your Saturn only has an "idiot light" , looks like a thermometer with wavy lines under it It lights when engine is overheated. Yea this is a huge drawback to the Vue XR, and not only that it doesn't have a low coolant light! So basically it will just show a light when the temp. goes too high and you will immediately have to pull over and shut the car off. I will say this though, you can get an OBD2 bluetooth plug and put that into the OBD2 port on your car and download and pay $5 or so for the Torque app. Then you have a way of monitoring the exact temperature of the coolant in your block. Again though, who wants to do this everyday. I guess just cross your fingers and hope you don't have an overheat issue.
