Hello, I have a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid my question I want to ask about that vehicle is I'm going to put a mini fridge in the back and run it off the power supply in the front of the car in the console. in the manual for the mini fridge it says,; the refrigerator is only applied with power supply of single-phase alternating current of 115 volt through 60hz. we're going to make a heat shield so we don't have to worry about it getting hot in the car while I run it it will only be for a few hours here and there, while I Drive around homemade product that I make. My concern is with the power usage & the hybrid system battery. would having a separate battery be smart? or should I be OK to run the fridge for a couple hours every once in awhile without hurting the battery?
