Nissan Altima coupe control arm replacement

Asked by Ryan Sep 07, 2019 at 09:50 PM about the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So all my bushings on both sides of the control arm are shot
like no other. Would you recommend just replacing both the
control arms in full or just replacing the bushings if that's
even possible? And if it is possible would that be an easy
task or a pain in the butt?

Of course it requires special tools to remove and install the new ball joint. Heat and a bench too. The arm also has two other bushings that are close to failing as well. If your doing this in your driveway and want to save time, get the whole arm. rockauto has the arms for $65 each. A bushing is $20.
