battery drained thats how i knew it was my
alternator but now since I replaced it & charged up
my new battery my brake & battery light come on

Check your grounds and battery cables for voltage drop and high resistance

fusible link? Did any sparks fly? any wires get together, i would think if all was well before you changed the alternator, then it was somewhere there, but a battery change high amperage drain across the post of the battery can get your link! Just a thought.
