Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was on my way from Kentucky to ohio last night and my car started to loose power its a 2008 altima 2.5s and when I pulled over to side of road I shut it off for about a minute than started it back up while in park I pushed the gas to rev it up a little and it just stayed and idling speed. rpms didn't move and no sound from engine of it reving up. Than after deciding to cancel trip so we don't get stranded to far from home we turn around and 20 minutes later the car acts fine as if nothing ever was wrong. Please help

Could be the TCM (transmission control module) or a CPS (cam position sensor) or the throttle body. The newer vehicles have a electrically controlled butterfly instead of the old cable version. These are known to go bad and you will have intermittent power. I would start with the cam sensor. It's cheaper than the TCM or throttle body. If your check engine light is on, get the codes read.
