Why does my battery keep going dead?

Question type: General
Can anyone explain why my battery keeps
going dead? I just put a new battery in in the
past 3 weeks and have had to jump start it 4
different times. I was told it was my door locks
draining my battery so I have changed all but
one because the mechanic said it was good.
My alternator and starter are also fine could
someone please explain what the problem
could be and if it is my locks then can I
disable them and just use my key? I have a
2008 Buick LaCrosse cxl with just over
100,000 miles on it. Someone please help!

I just solved my electrical problems on my Saturn....only after replacing alternator, battery and alot of wiring. Then something went awry and my belt shredded itself. After replacing it, the battery began charging itself, with the alternator's help. Never even considered it to be the culprit...

My 2011 LaCrosse AWD is in the shop for the 4th time for a drained battery problem. So far... the battery has been replaced. The alternator was replaced. The RADIO was replaced. The last 2 items happened from the dealer. The car is back at the dealer - for the last week and a half - with no end to the investigation in sight. The car owes nothing to me; it has been a great car at 148,000 miles; it still looks brand new.

My dealer - in the mid-Hudson Valley area of NY - was unable to solve the battery draining problem. They gave me the verbal 'white flag' - they walked away from the problem after months of the problem and lots of $$$$. I replaced the battery - twice, the starter, the radio and the brake assembly (because the brake lights would not go off). None of these resolved the issue. The dealer said that they tested "every module". Finally, and unfortunately, the car died in multiple parking lots and in my own driveway. The battery had to be charged, and then disconnected and then reconnected in order for the car to start. I used up all my 'free' Onstar battery jumping visits. Who knew that there was a limit? I missed multiple appointments. I got GM Buick involved. They offered me a $2500 credit on a new sale or lease. Instead, and this is where I must be certifiable because I really loved my old 2011 Buick LaCrosse, I found another one (2016) that was 5 years newer and bought it. I sold the 2011 to a local garage. He knew what he was getting into. I hope that he can fix the issue, resell the car, and make some money. Obviously, he has more patience and skill than the dealer. The battery troubles began in March 2021 and I sold the car in August 2021. The attached pic is of the 2011 LaCrosse that the dealer could not repair.
