Can map lights be made to come when door is opened?

The interior is very dark at night as my car has sunroof and the dome light is behind the sunroof over the back seat. Is there an adjustment to have the map lights come on also? The interior dome light does not come on when the ignition is turned off, can that be adjusted also? I have driven a 2013  and both of these items operate in the manner I want. ou.

Should be able to-check to ensure your dimmer is not turned down. It is best to check the guide-manual that came with your car.

Thanks for your reply, however, there is a dome light behind the the sunroof that comes on and is bright. Current model Sonata's use the map lights in addition to the rear dome light, makes it much brighter when entering the car. there is no switch on the dome lights for that option as in the newer cars.
