Locked only key/fob in trunk

Asked by Jocelyn Dec 15, 2020 at 05:24 PM about the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: General

I just locked my only key and fob in trunk. I
already armed the car. But the thing is, the locks
on the front doors haven't been physically going
'down' when I arm it, and I don't hear the
mechanisms when I arm it. But i DO hear them
when I disarm it.
So before I take a risk, of the alarm sounding and
the door actually IS locked (because I believe I
can crawl thru the backseat to the trunk), I
wanted to see if anyone out there has had the
same experience.

With the security system armed anything you do will trigger the alarm. My advice is open the door, pop the hood, and disconnect the negative battery cable. Once you have the fob again, hook up the battery cable. Then unlock the vehicle using the fob to shut off the alarm. Hope that helps! Jim
