Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix....for over a year I have been dealing with the check
engine light being on and message is check gas cap....I have had this car in twice to
be smoked to find leaks...no leaks...replaced my gas cap twice and still not
solution....I can smell gas if I have my car in a closed garage overnight....I have never
seen a puddle of gas under my car...how can I find this leak and correct this
problem?...heard of two other people with this problem and they got rid of the car
without finding the problem...this is getting so costly without being fixed...please help.

that would be great Frank, but where are you located?....with an area code of 949 it isn't close to me...I am in Michigan...thanks anyway
