What would cause a Pontiac G5 to run hot even when heater is on?

The heater in the passenger compartment will not alleviate an overheating problem- and that problem is dangerous to your engine- look at the usual culprits- leak, thermostat, fan switch, fan relay- etc.
Rad cap, thermostat, cooling temp sensor, water pump, cooling relay1,2 HVAC relay cooling fan all done put freon in A/C still the some. Any idals
Coolant level at the right amount? Low coolant = hot engine. If level is OK then I would suspect a blockage in the system given all the ancillary parts you have changed. Also, make sure your dive belt is not slipping on the water pump pulley.
I have a 2007 Pontiac G5 the temperature hand is going up my fans not kicking on until the temperature hand gets at 207 is that good or bad
That sounds about right. On here from a search for friend that has same problem with his '08 g5. It was wrecked and he had to remove the condenser a while back but didn't notice if fan kept working or not. Now overheating. Fuses, relays fan motor all good. Relays have all power going to them but ground is what must be sent from computer or whatever to activate the relay bc I pulled relays partially out and jumped the ground n they tripped n fan fired right up. Could the AC system, being non- operational, cause the fan to not run even when the temp gets too high? And if so, y the heck is the two systems combined to where if one doesn't work then the other doesn't work. Should work simultaneously and separately as a failsafe.
