I have a 2008 Pontiac Solstice. The ignition has locked up on me,, Is there an easy fix for this??

The key removes easily.. the key won't turn in the ignition..It's completely locked up..the steering and shifter..

make sure your wheels aren't turned. try turning the steering wheel back and forth, or spray a lil wd-40 on the key & let sit for a minute & try it then.

Had to end up replacing the ignition switch. That makes twice in 4 yrs. This one is starting to stick on me too, It hasn't locked up yet, it's just a matter of time I guess...

GM is bad about this tell them to put a little extra lithium grease in the cylinder next time they have it out, lil extra on the lock cylinder and tumbler.

I would make sure they replaced the tumblers when the do a new cylinder the last few times sounds fishy.
