Fuel Pump

Asked by Neice Nov 25, 2016 at 02:44 PM about the 2008 Buick Lucerne CXL FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2008 Buick Lucerne Cxl turns over but won't
crank. I was told I needed a fuel pump. Exactly
where is it located because I've been told the gas
tank and in my trunk?

Any garage can check the fuel pressure and determine if the fuel pump is bad. You may be able to borrow a tester from AutoZone and check the pressure yourself. A new fuel pump is about $100 but it is in the tank and that must be lowered to change the pump...that is were the labor is.

It is located in the trunk under the carpet upper right hand side.
