A light on the dashboard of my car came on and I have no clue what it means.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It looks like an exclamation mark with a line under it that has tiny vertical lines going across the longer horizontal line. Does anyone know what that means?

Thats the coolant/engine temperature warning light. if the light comes on when driving, pull over immediately and stop the engine. it means that your engine is over heating and u r low on engine coolant. donot continue driving. refill engine coolant in the coolant reservoiur bottle and NOT in the radiator and allow the engine to cool well before starting the engine again. if problem persists contact ur local toyota mechanic immediately.
