From what I've researched about doing a 5.0 swap in my B4000 (Ranger)....no not easily. The 5.0 from the explorer has motor mount points on the block that never came on the mustang 5.0 but other than that they are almost identical! The explorer 5.0 even came with performance heads (gt40 non -p) and from what I've seen the power levels aren't too far off from each other
