Asked by OJ1969 Sep 30, 2016 at 06:44 AM about the 2008 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At idle, the engine RPM is low and like pulsing, with engine
indicator light on at the dashboard.
Any idea what could be the reason?

Check for a intake manifold leak, you may also want to check the throttle position sensor.

Thanks Joemom.... actually I'm not experienced in car mechanics.. I need to know if this serious fault to to service or garage. The car is running smoothly when I drive, but once it gave me like a bell sound warning with brown dashboard blinking service sign, with low rpm even if I try accelerate. I stopped and put the car off then on and it's gone.
