Maintenance And repairs

Asked by Guru9DKJ62 Nov 11, 2020 at 09:44 PM about the 2008 Ford Explorer XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Today they changed the valve gasgets on my 08
Ford Explorer XLT and after they finished I turned it
on and the truck runs roughly and the whole engine
won’t stop shaking, do they need to reset the
codes on my truck?

Take it back to the shop and have them diagnose and fix. A gasket change should not cause this. They probably just forgot to connect a spark plug or vacuum line.

Most likely a vacuum hose either not connected or split from taking one off that was too stiff.
