Ford Expedition 2008 Front Brake overhaul issue

Asked by Usedtoyman Dec 27, 2018 at 07:20 PM about the 2008 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced the pads, rotors and calipers in a 2008 Ford Expedition with 189K
on it, not the first time but had severe issues with the front brakes so decided
to overhaul it all.  Seemed okay for 60 miles or so but after my wife drove it
in rain next morning when backing up the front brakes dug into the left rotor
and made terrible noises, even would hold the car back from backing up.   I
pulled the left passenger side apart and reassembled as I thought was
correct but no change, possibly worse.  What could I have done wrong?

Yes, but appreciate the attempt to help. ON the 2008 Expedition, the inner pad has clips that slip into the calipers so it would be virtually impossible to put them in incorrectly I'd guesss

Would it be worth while to bleed the brakes again, perhaps I didnt' bleed them well enough? Possible?
