I am thing of buying a 2008 Ford Expedition Limited, it has millage of 281.00,
the SUV is good shape on the out, one owner very clean , no smoke coming
for the pipes after it starts. A one owner, all hwy miles.

I wouldnt purchase it unless it was so cheap that if the motor crapped out the next day I had enough money left over I could replace the motor. Even then I personally would not purchase a car with 300k miles because its not just the motor with those miles, every componet on the suv has 300k miles.
The Triton 5.4 engines can run a really long time. I have two cars with these engines but I still have less than 200k. If the engine has good compression, runs strong, does not use oil and passes smog inspection easily then it could run many more miles.
Make sure that it runs smooth and quiet. If it is quiet there are no guarantees but if it is rough and noisy it is getting ready to die.
