2008 town&country 3.8 new gas cap &egr valve. light came back on. I have factory remote
start. when engine light is on, the car starts and goes off. what next. ready to trade.

Ok a factory remote start will not start if the check engine light is on or the hood is up. Its a safety thing. Have you had the codes read? If it's an EVAP code then its probably a vent valve or charcoal canister. Once the part(s) are replaced you have to have a scan tool to turn off the check engine light.
