Ok a factory remote start will not start if the check engine light is on or the hood is up. Its a safety thing. Have you had the codes read? If it's an EVAP code then its probably a vent valve or charcoal canister. Once the part(s) are replaced you have to have a scan tool to turn off the check engine light.

I replaced the egr valve and the map sensor, but I still get codes P0405, P0406. It also has a lot of roughness in the engine. What could be the cause of this?
