Navigation/Radio Screen

Asked by ahnh418 Nov 30, 2016 at 09:55 PM about the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Touring FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The screen for the radio/navigation/back up
camera went black but the radio still works. Also,
the volume and station changing buttons on the
steering wheel are now not working. Any
suggestions?

mine does the same thing. Its an electrical issue. Best way to fix is buy a new one. If it goes off for a few mins then back on like mine it may be tolerable for you. I know when I priced mine out it was well over $600 for install and everything. I have a touch screen just like yours

I had the same problem in my mom's van. The radio volume worked, and the back up camera worked also. But the navigation and radio display did not work.

Go into the van at night. Start the vehicle. Make sure all the inside lights are out it'll make it easier to see the radio screen. The display will be very light, it's not visible in the daytime. Go to the settings, then go to display settings in the display brightness will be all the way down to the bottom, just scroll it to the top and you'll be able to view your display and your navigation again. I hope this works for you it worked for me.
