Need help with my cobalt

I bought a 2008 cobalt. Put a
tranny from a caviar 2004 in it.
Computer got fired by person
working on car. I have 2 that work
but not programmed to the car
so....if I buy a programmed
computer do I need a tranny
module too or should I buy
something to program the
computer I have. I need this car
ASAP for work...help!

What model transmission was in the Cobalt and what model is the transmission in the car now from the Cavalier? The 5spd Getrag manual F23? A transmission shop might be able to answer your programming question. Doing any custom work yourself without all the information is not an ASAP endeavor. If you need real help a local mechanic might be able to get you going in a day.
