Why are my abs and traction control lights on, after replacing wheel bearings and codes cleared?
I have a 2008 Pontiac G6 GT, it has 137,000 miles on it. We recently had lights come on for the abs and traction control. They stayed on, we knew the wheel bearings were bad, so we replaced both sides. We replaced almost everything in the front end, took it for a little test drive, then had an alignment done. As soon as I turned the car on the abs and traction control lights are on again. They said it could be a sensor or a wiring harness bad. Not sure how to check it they are , seen a video on you tube, but wasn't very helpful. Our problem is not only with the abs and traction control lights, our security system light comes on, the speedometer goes up and down, the fuel light flashes, the brake light comes on and it flashes ERROR across our odometer, then stops, then comes back on... by the time we got on our road (25 mph) the car was shifting funny...then it was slamming into gears, we barely mad it up the hill... we parked it in the garage, turned it off, tried to start it...it would not start...after a couple of tries it started...never had this problem before. The battery is only a year old. Started it yesterday, no problems starting no lights on,( besides the tire light) drove maybe 5 miles and the abs and traction control lights are back on. Then again same thing with the security light on, then flashing error... but did not do the slamming...it ran as it always does. We took it to Advance Auto Parts, they had a hard time communicating with it, we cleared the codes. As soon as you turn the car on the abs and traction control lights stay on.... This has all happened in the last week, with less then 75 miles drove. Can someone Please help us? Thank You for your time.
