2008 Honda Ex 4 cylinder starting issue

2008 Honda Ex 4 cylinder will not start right away in morning.Cranks over
fine.Have to crank it 3-4 times for 3 seconds then a long crank about 8
seconds then it tries to fire on couple cylinders then next couple of tries it
fires up and runs fine.Mechanic has changed spark plugs,checked for codes
there are none,fuel pressure is fine.Running out of ideas and it is getting
worse as it gets colder at night now.s

Cranking as you do is how you prime a failing fuel pump. agree with Ed.
