Car will not accelerate after 40 mph

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car start  and I am able to drive up to 40 mph after
that it does not change gears. I can hear a noise In
noise In the back but I am not where the noise is
coming from

WHERE IS THE NOISE ??? WHAT KIND OF NOISE...TRANS BEEN SERVICED? HAS IT BEEN UP ON THE RACK TO LOOK ..CHECKED YOUR WHEEL BEARINGS...40 MPH..CHANGE FUEL FILTER .

Thank you. The noise does not sound like wheel bearing. The noise is like the wheel robbing into something. I will check the fuel filter. Somebody suguested to check the transmission selenoid but I am not sure if my car has one or if it has another name. I don't think the trans. Has Ben serviced thank your for the suggestion.

could be a load vacuum leak..noise..also have the cat.converter checked and the cv joints looked at
