dealers that will lease a 2008 prius

I would call around to see who will do it or not. The problem with the Prius is that they are an in-demand, high-dollar (cost to Toyota) car for Toyota. I have not found anyone who will lease the popular hybrids like the Honda Insight (when they made them) because they are almost always a money-losing proposition for the mfg. due to the manufacturing cost involved.

Do not lease a used car, ever, unless you want a higher payment than a new one. The residual value (projected future value) is terrible on the 2008 (a 5 year old car), and you'll find buying a used Prius will be much less costly than a lease. If you do consider leasing a new one, make sure you get the amount of miles you need (whether it's 12,000 or 20,000 miles per year), and money down on a lease is ALWAYS optional, although it does lower the payment, and that includes first payment, taxes and everything. Any Toyota dealer can lease a new one, and I promise you they are making money contrary to the first answer.

7 out of 10 cars we sell are leased - it's NEVER a losing proposition for any manufacturer I promise. The dealer moves a unit, you get a car, and mitigate depreciation and all the benefit of leasing, which includes having a lower payment compared to a 5 year loan. Don't forget most leases are 15,000 miles standard, but you can go lower to 12,000 and up to 25,000 miles per year. Leases never require money down, although the ads make it look that way. If you want to lease, only go new, and pick your down payment and mileage wisely.
